Remote software consulting

.NET systems, designed and built.

Engaging Gear provides software development services focused on the Microsoft stack. Clients hire us when they need an architect who still writes the code: APIs, web applications, and the .NET systems behind them.

    Architecture and the code

C# and .NET, Azure and AWS. We build software that focuses on the most common leveraged systems to maximize productivity, scalability and reliablity.

  2. 02

APIs and the Guis in front of them

ASP.NET and Web API, with front ends in Angular, React, or Blazor. SQL Server for the relational core, and MongoDB when less structured data is required.

  3. 03

    Processes and People

We are experts at agile development which allows us to deliver software in phases, and step by step. This methodology allows all stateholders to have an early look and early involvement shaping the final product.

Recommendations

Here are some of our satisfied clients.

Having worked closely together with an Engaging Gear architect for almost six years, I can vouch for the reliability, honesty, and teamwork. Top-notch full-stack developers with a solid grasp of the .Net platform, consistently delivering quality code and making meaningful contributions to our projects. What sets the work apart is the pride taken in it, always striving for excellence. Strong technical skills, clear communication, coding standards, a welcome for feedback, and fresh ideas. I’m confident this would be a valuable addition to any team.

Engaging Gear dedicated and productive contributor to the Pulse project for over 5 years. Pulse could not have made it into the operating room affecting many patient’s lives without that work. Any software team would be lucky to have that contributor as a member.

How the work is done

Prefer a clear design over a clever one that only its author can follow. Use the libraries that already exist — Entity Framework, the web frameworks, the cloud services — so the new code is the part that is specific to the business. Treat testability as a feature, because that is what lets a system absorb the next requirement. And keep the person who has to use the software in view. The job is to make their work less repetitive and more reliable, inside the time and the budget the project actually has.
